Add material to be dried to your Kiln Charge is easy and can be done from both the Inventory View as well as from the Kiln Charge View. Once material has been added to a Kiln Charge it will travel through the entire drying process as part of the charge and all of the details of the drying process will be associated and accessible for that material.

Pro Tip: By creating multiple Kiln Charges and adding material to them Traece™ enables you to build an easy to manage drying schedule for your Kilns that allows you to maximize the volume of material you can dry.

Required User Level(s): Admin, Manager, Operator

Adding Material from the Kiln Charge View

  • Open the Kiln Charge by clicking the pencil icon or anywhere in the table row for that Charge

  • Once the Kiln Charge has been loaded, scroll to the bottom of the view and click Add Material

  • This will bring up the Add Materials view. From here you will select a material type (Slab or Pack) and then Filter and Select the material you want to add to this Charge

  • Once you have selected and Inventory Type, you will be presented with the same filter selection tool that you use in the Inventory area of Traece™

  • Use the filters to search for the material you wish to add to this Charge

  • The filtered items will appear in the table below, select the ones you wish to add to this Charge and click Confirm Selected Rows

  • After confirming, the selected items will be added to the master list at the top of the page

NOTE: Material has not been added to the Charge yet.

  • The reason we do this is so that you can go back to the filter and search other filter parameters and/or Inventory Types

  • The process above will only build out the temporary list you see above. Once you are happy with your list you can move on to the last step

  • To finally add the material to your Charge, click the Confirm button

  • This will finalize the adding of this material to this Charge

Bulk Adding Material to the Kiln Charge

  • It is easy to add material to a Kiln Charge directly from the Slabs or Packs Inventory views

  • To add, just select one or more rows of items and click the Add to Kiln Charge button at the top right corner of the view

  • Next you will see the Add to Kiln Charge modal

  • First step is to select the Kiln Charge you wish to add this material too

  • Once you have selected your Charge, the modal will populate and give you helpful information about that Charge to help you determine if this is the right one to send this material too

  • The top portion of the modal display overall data about the selected Charge such as the Kiln used, Start & End dates as well as a direct link to the Charge itself.

  • At the bottom of the modal there is a table that displays all of the material that has already been added to this Charge

Pro Tip: Having quick access to the material already in a charge gives you a quick read on whether or not the material you want to add might fit or not

  • Once you are happy with your review, click Add to Charge to save this material to the Kiln Charge

Removing Material from a Kiln Charge

  • To remove added material from a Charge simply open the Charge in the Kiln Charge View and click the trash can icon in the Actions section of the Charge Materials table
