When a kiln charge is in Stopped status in the Traece™ Field App, it means the drying process has finished, but the materials are still in the kiln and need to be unloaded. At this stage, your main task is to unload the materials, as other actions, like adding or removing materials, are no longer available.
Here’s how to manage a kiln charge in Stopped status.
Actions Available for a Stopped Kiln Charge
Start and Stop Date:
The Start Date and Stop Date are read-only and cannot be edited.
The Stop Date is automatically recorded when the kiln charge status is changed to Stopped.
Material Handling:
You cannot add, remove, or load any new material at this stage. The only action available is unloading the materials from the kiln.
View Material:
Click on the Species - Inventory Number to view detailed information about the material.
Add a Description:
You can add a description for the kiln charge to provide context or details about the process.
Note: If you update the description, click on Save Updates to apply the changes.
View Measurements:
Click on the accordion to expand and view the measurement recordings.
View Kiln Charge History:
Click on the accordion to expand and view the Kiln Charge History, which shows a detailed log of actions taken during the charge.
Unload Materials
Once the drying process is complete, you must unload the materials from the kiln. You can unload them all at once or unload them individually.
Unload All Materials:
Click on Unload All to unload everything at once.
A modal will appear where you need to select the Location and Status of the materials.
After selecting the Location and Status, click Unload All to unload all the materials and automatically change the kiln charge status to Complete.
Unload Items Individually:
Click on the arrow next to the item you wish to unload.
A modal will appear where you must select the item's Location and Status.
After selecting, click Unload to unload the material.
Note: Once you unload the last item, the kiln charge status will automatically change to Complete.
Proceeding to Complete
Once all items have been unloaded, the kiln charge status will automatically change to Complete, marking the end of the kiln drying process.
By managing your kiln charge in Stopped status, you ensure that all materials are properly unloaded from the kiln, completing the drying process. Once everything is unloaded, the charge is marked as complete, and the drying process is complete.
