When a kiln charge is in the Loading status in the Traece™ Field App, you can manage and prepare the charge by adding, removing, or loading materials before the kiln charge advances to the Drying stage. This stage is essential to ensure that all materials are properly loaded into the kiln before drying.
Here’s how to manage a kiln charge in Loading status.
Actions Available for a Loading Kiln Charge
Edit the Start Date and End Date:
To edit the dates, click on the date field, select the desired date, and click Apply to save the changes.
Add Material:
Click on the scanner button and scan the tag of the material to add it to the charge.
Alternatively, you can enter the material code in the Material Code field and then click on + Add Material.
Note: When material is added to a Loading Kiln Charge, its status will update to Pending - Kiln.
Remove Material:
Click on the trash bin icon next to the item you want to remove. Confirm the removal by clicking Yes, Remove.
Note: When material is removed from a Loading Kiln Charge, its status will revert to its original state.
View Material:
Click on the Species - Inventory Number to view detailed information about the material. This will take you to the item view.
Add a Description:
You can add a description for the charge to provide context or details.
Note: If you edit the dates or update the description, you will need to click on Save Updates to apply the changes.
View Kiln Charge History:
Click on the accordion to expand and view the Kiln Charge History, which will display a detailed log of actions taken during the charge.
Loading Materials
You have two options for loading materials into the kiln:
Load Items Individually:
Click on the arrow next to the item and then click Load to load the material.
Load All Materials:
To load all the items at once, click on Load All and then confirm by clicking Yes, Load to load all the materials.
Note: When material is loaded, its status will update to Pending - Kiln, and its location will be updated to In Kiln.
Unloading Material
If you need to unload an item:
Click on the revert icon and confirm the action by clicking Revert to unload the material from the charge.
Note: When material is unloaded, its status will remain Pending - Kiln, and its location will revert back to its original location.
Proceeding to Drying
To move the kiln charge to the Drying status, ensure that all items are loaded into the charge.
Click on Start Drying, then click on Change Status to proceed to the Drying stage.
