Learn how to add Traece™ to your website using Embed Codes

The following instructions are intended for you or your website administrator. They outline how to copy and paste your embed code into a WordPress website. While the same instructions generally apply for other website hosting companies such as Squarespace and Wix, some minor variations may be necessary.

Required User Level(s): Admin only

Step 5: Embed Settings | Embed Codes

  • Navigate to your Settings in the top right corner of Traece™

  • Click on Settings from the left-hand menu

  • Click on the Embed Settings tab

  • Click on the Embed Codes tab

  • On this page, you will find a Default Embed Code, as well as any other codes that you may have added. To view the Code snippet, click on the dropdown arrow to expand it.

    • Code snippet: This code provides you embed code that includes all available inventory (based upon your Allowed Statuses, as defined in Step 1: Embed Settings | General). It will also display the Navigation Menu, that will allow your customers to select from a list of Tree Species

  • Once you have selected the Embed Code option you prefer, select all of the text within the box of your desired style.

  • Right-click or Ctrl+C (Cmd+ C if on a Mac) to Copy this text to your clipboard

Adding A Specific Embed Code

Here are the steps to integrate a specific embed code into your website today, which can improve its appearance and functionality and make the customer experience more engaging and informative.

  • Navigate to your Settings in the top right corner of Traece™

  • Click on Search Filters

  • Click on Add Filter

  • Enter a Name (name your filter)

  • Enter a Description (enter a description of the filter)

  • Select Inventory Type

Note: You can only display Slabs or Packs using the Embed Code

  • Use the Filter Settings to create a specific filter

  • Click Save

  • Click on Settings from the left-hand menu

  • Click on the Embed Settings tab

  • Click on the Embed Codes tab

  • Click on Add Code

  • Once you have clicked on the Add Code button, you will be presented with a pop-up box prompting you to name the embed code.

  • Select the Filter

  • Add a description for the embed code

  • Click Save

Login to Your WordPress Site

  • From the WordPress navigation: Add a New Page or Edit an Existing page if you already have a place where you’ve been displaying/selling your inventory

  • Add a page Title (aka the name of this page, such as “Slab Inventory,” “Store,” etc)

  • Click the Text tab

  • Paste the code from Traece into the large text box

  • Click Preview to see how the embedded code will look once it is published on your website

  • Optional: Make any adjustments you desire to match the look and feel of your website

  • Click Publish when you are ready to start selling your wood!
