When a kiln charge is in Stopped status in Traece™, it means the drying process has ended, but the materials have not yet been fully unloaded from the kiln. At this stage, you are limited to unloading the materials, as the start and stop dates are locked and other actions cannot be performed.

Here’s what you can do when a kiln charge is in Stopped status.

Actions Available for a Stopped Status Kiln Charge

  • Start and Stop Date

    • The start and stop dates are read-only and cannot be edited.

    • The Stop Date is automatically recorded based on when the kiln charge status is changed to Stopped.

  • Material Handling

    • You cannot add, remove, or load any new material at this stage. The only action available is unloading the material from the kiln.

  • View Material

    • To view more details about the material, click on the magnifying glass next to the item in the "Number of Items."

Unload Materials

Now that the drying process is complete, you will need to unload the materials from the kiln. You can choose to unload all materials at once or unload them individually.

  1. Unload All Materials

    • Click on Unload All Materials to unload everything simultaneously.

    • A confirmation prompt will appear: "Do you want to unload all the materials and close the Charge?"

      • If you click Confirm, all the materials will be unloaded, and the Charge Status will be updated to Complete.

      • If you click Cancel, you will need to unload each material separately.

  2. Unload Items Individually

    • To unload an item individually, click on [Unload item] next to the item in the "Number of Items."

Note: Whether you unload all materials at once or individually, you will need to assign a new status and a new location for the items.

By managing a kiln charge in Stopped status, you ensure all materials are unloaded properly and the kiln charge is prepared for completion. This step allows you to finalize the drying process and maintain an organized workflow in your kiln operations.
