The Traece™ Field App simplifies integrating new packs into the system. It automates board feet and pricing calculations while allowing you to add images, barcodes, or 2D tags. This makes the initial addition easier and facilitates easy scanning for gathering specific item details later. With Traece™ Field App, managing your pack inventory has never been easier.

Adding a Pack

  • Click on the Inventory button in the Navigation Bar

  • Click on Add New Inventory

  • Click on Pack

Adding a pack through the mobile app will be a two-step process consisting of Material Information and Additional Information.

Any fields marked with an asterisk (*) are required and must be completed.

To input information or make a selection, click on the field or arrow (>) and enter the information or select an option. Then, click on Select.

Material Information (Step 1/2)

In this step, you will be given a set of fields to fill out. These fields include the following:

  • Log - Packs are milled from Logs. Select the specific Log(s) that your pack originated from.

You can either select a log or scan its barcode or 2D code to fill in the field.

Note:

If a log is selected, its length will be copied to the pack's average board length.

If multiple logs are selected, their average length will be copied to the pack's average board length.

You can change the value in Dimensions if needed.

  • Date Milled - This date pre-populates with today’s date and may be manually adjusted. This is the date a Pack is/was milled.

  • Species - If a Source Tree or Log has been previously entered, the Species field will automatically be filled with the Species associated with that particular Source Tree or Log. If no Source Tree or Log has been assigned to this Pack, the Species field will be blank, and you will need to select a Species manually.

  • Inventory Number - This is an autogenerated inventory number for the pack. However, you may use your own inventory numbering system by overriding the automatic Inventory Number.

  • Thickness - Select the thickness of the Pack

  • Dimensions-

    • Average Board Length (inches): The average length of the boards in the Pack

    • Pack Width (inches): The width of the Pack

    • Number of Rows: This entry denotes the number of Rows tall a Pack is

    • Minimum Board Width (inches): Given the variety of board widths you may have in a Pack, entering the Minimum Board Width tells Traece™ what Width to use when creating a Pack Board Foot Estimate.

    • Minimum Board Length (inches): Packs offer the flexibility to include boards of different lengths. Some buyers may want to know the shortest board length in a pack.

  • Assigned barcode - This is the unique Signumat Tag or 2D barcode assigned to the item.

You can either input the barcode number or scan its barcode or 2D code to fill in the field.

  • Characters - Each pack is unique, and adding characters may increase or decrease its value based on your preferences.

  • Source Tree - Select the Source Tree that this Pack originates from.

  • Click Next Step

Additional Information (Step 2/2)

In this step, you will enter information about the pack's location, status, acquisition cost, notes, description, and capture images.

  • Location - This is the location where a Pack may be located at any given time.

  • Status - Select a status for the Pack.

  • Pack Acquisition Cost - You can use this field to enter the cost of the Pack.

  • Images - You may choose to take or attach images of a Pack here.

  • Description - Please describe the Pack you want to capture, including its history, source, or any other relevant details.

  • Click Add New Bundle

You have successfully added a Pack using the Traece™ Field App.
