Tracking the Cost of a Material

For the purposes of this document, we are going to focus on the Slabs portion of Traece™.

Note: Tracking cost functions identically between the various Slabs, Packs, and Logs.

  • From your left-hand navigation in Traece™, click on Slabs

  • From the Slabs page, click on Add Slab

  • Please ensure that all fields for the material are filled out completely (if applicable)

  • Scroll down to Pricing, and you will see the field Slab Cost (per bf)

  • Enter the cost of the item

Note: Item cost is calculated per board foot.

  • The Total Cost field on Traece™ will be automatically calculated once you enter the cost of the item.

Note: The Total Cost on Traece™ is calculated using the Doyle method, which requires inputting the necessary parameters. If the Doyle parameters are not entered, the Total Cost field will display zero even if an item cost value is entered, as the calculation cannot be made without the required parameters.

Note 2: The User cannot edit the Total Cost field.

  • Click Save or Save and Duplicate

Note: When editing an item on Traece™, you have the option to add or edit its cost tracking.
