When you're ready to start milling, you can use the Log Queue feature to determine the order in which logs are milled. The Traece™ Field App will also update the status of each log as it enters the queue and moves through the milling process.

Add A Log to the Log Queue

Once you are ready to add logs to the Log Queue, follow these steps:

  • Click on Add Log

  • Scan the barcode or 2D tag

When a log is added to the Log Queue, it is automatically placed at the top of the queue.

Once a log is in the Log Queue, the status of the log will automatically change to Ready to Mill.

Log Card

Each card under the Log Queue contains specific information about the corresponding log.

The Log Queue Log Card will show the following details:

  • Species - Inventory Number: You can view more details about the log by clicking on the hyperlink.

  • Image of the log

  • Assigned barcode number

  • Location

  • Date Arrived

  • Mill Plan of the log

    • You can edit the Mill Plan by clicking on it.

Edit the Mill Plan of the Log

To make changes to the Mill Plan, click on it, make changes, and then click Save Updates.

Prioritizing Logs in the Log Queue

To inform the mill operator of the milling sequence for the logs, you can rearrange them.

  • To rearrange the order of logs, click and hold the hamburger icon and move the card up or down.

Removing A Log from the Log Queue

To remove logs from the Log Queue, swipe left and click the red box.

When a log is removed from the Log Queue, its status will automatically revert to its previous state.

Milling A Log

Once a log has been milled, swipe right and click the green box.

Once a log is milled, the status of the log will automatically change to Milled.

Also, the log will be marked as Processed.

Once milled, the log will be removed from the Log Queue.
