How-to use Tags on Traece™

Tags are a useful way of categorizing items flexibly and in a free-form manner on Traece™. They allow users to organize their inventory more efficiently by assigning tags to different elements. This makes searching for and filtering specific items easier based on unique criteria. The tagging system is highly versatile and allows users to tailor their organizational approach to suit their needs. Overall, tags offer an accessible and user-friendly solution for streamlining inventory management and improving accessibility when navigating inventories.

Required User Level(s): Admin, Manager

⚠️ Operator can add tags to items but cannot configure them.

Using Tags

You can use Tags on Traece™ for the following material types: Slabs, Boards & Beams, Packs, and Logs.

Adding Tags

  • Navigate to your Settings in the top-right of Traece™.

  • Click Configuration on the left-hand menu

  • Click on Tags tab

  • Click on Add Tag

  • Give this Tag a name (Wet, A-Grade, Green, etc.)

  • Click Save

Editing a Tag

Traece™ simplifies the process of modifying a Tag by offering an intuitive editing feature that allows you to make changes quickly whenever necessary.

  • Click on the pencil icon to Edit

  • Make the necessary changes to the name

  • Click Save

Deleting a Tag

In addition to editing Tags, Traece™ also allows you to easily remove any outdated or unnecessary Tags from your account.

  • Click on the trash bin icon to delete

  • To confirm the deletion, click the Submit button.

If an item is associated with a tag, the tag cannot be deleted.

Applying Tags

Applying a Tag to an item on Traece™ is easy. When you add or edit an item, you will see a field named Tags.

  • Click on it and select one or more Tags from the given options.

  • Click on Save to save your changes.

After you associate a Tag with an item, you will see the Tag on both the Inventory List View and Item View. You can also use Filters to search for items with a Tag association.
