Efficient sales and inventory management is essential to running a successful business. Within Traece™, Contacts can be utilized to manage sales and inventory efficiently. Adding, configuring, and associating Contacts to your inventory in Traece™ is an easy process, as outlined below.
Required User Level(s): Admin, Manager
Accessing Contact Type Configuration
Configuring the contact types is done in the Admin Settings area of your account.
Once here, you will see two Columns:
Name: This is the “friendly” name for your Contact Type.
Actions: The Actions allow you to edit (pencil icon) any row in the table. You may also use the trash bin icon to delete a Contact Type.
Adding a Contact Type to Traece™
Once a Contact Type has been added, you will create a new Contact.

Click on Add Contact in the top right corner
Give the Contact a First name
Give the Contact a Last name
Give the Contact an E-mail
Select a Contact type from the drop-down selection (such as Customer or Consignee)
It is optional to enter a Phone number for the Contact
It is optional to enter the Address for the Contact
Click Save
Once a Contact has been added, you will assign the Contact to an inventory item.

Note: You can associate a Contact with an item like a Slab, Boards & Beams, Packs, Logs, and Sources.
Note: You can add a Contact to an item while adding the item to the inventory on Traece™.
Scroll down to Location & Contact Info and click on the drop-down selector for Contact
Select a Contact
Scroll down and click Save
Great job! You have effectively assigned a Contact to an inventory item. In case you assigned a Contact to multiple items, utilizing Filters to view all the items linked with that particular Contact would be more convenient.
Using Filters to view all items associated with a Contact in Traece™
Click on the Filters button in the top right corner
This will expand the page to display a primary list of Filters, including Price, Length, Min. Width, Max Width, Slab Status, Characteristics, Source Tree, and Species.
Click on Advanced Filters to display even more options by which to filter
Click on Contacts
Select a Contact type from the drop-down selection
Once a Contact has been selected, if you scroll down, you will see a list of items that are associated with the Contact.
Note: if the Filtered View satisfies all of your requirements, you have the option to save the Filter for later use.
If the Filtered View meets all of your criteria, click on the Save Filters button just beneath the Search box
Enter a name for the filter
Click Save
